Exclamation Help!!!!!!!

Can anyone please help? I have 2 little girls, one just turned three and the other will be one the end of Nov. We have good health insurance. I need help finding a good pediatrician that is accepting patients. I tried all three locations of Knoxville Pediatric Assoc. They are not accepting patients at this time and my girls need their check up asap. I am almost in tears. Can anyone please help?!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Lori
We live in Farragut, but I will travel for a good Dr.

I would try Dr. Neil Feld. He was the "head pediatrician" at St. Mary's when my kids were born. I really liked him but was already committed to a doctor at KPA (who I also really like). I believe Dr. Feld's practice is called Tots and Teens. I know several people who go there and are really pleased.

I take my kids to Oak Ridge Pedatric and see Dr. Pisano, she is wonderful!!!! I am not sure if they are taking new patients or not, but I have never known them not too unless it was tncare. It is probably about 20 mins away from Turkey Creek. Their number is 865-482-4088.

I don't know if they're accepting patients (so you'll have to check), but I take my two sons to Pellissippi Pediatrics (part of Maryville Pediatrics) on Topside Rd. in Louisville. (We live off of Northshore, so this is just one exit from us on Pellissippi Pkwy.) I like all of their doctors and especially adore Dr. Damron and Dr. Bean.

I second the recommendation for Parkway (Maryville) Pediatrics. Dr Bean is our primary pediatrician but ALL of the doctors at staff are WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr Bean was actually MY pediatrician when I was a girl so I have a long history with him - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Default FamilyCare

I go to familycare just off Middlebrook on Old Weisgarber Rd. Dr. McMichael is the one you want for kids. The office is a push em through kinda office for adults but Dr. McMichael is a pediatrician and is attentive and holds full conversations with you about your kids. He will talk about nutrition and exercise and options. He is a very good Dr. in a fast paced office. They run on time for the most part too. The are cognitive of time constraints and they makie the appointment system work. Phone number is 865-584-2146.

The nice thing I like is the after hours clinic. If i need to take the kids to such a place it is in the same practice and they have full records from Dr. McMichael right there. They have X-ray, lab and pharmacy all right there for you, each as a separate billing entity.

Best Wishes,
Christina

I agree w/Tots & Teens----when we first moved here and had Cobra health insurance, KPA wouldn't take us bc of that, and Tots and Teens was soooo nice to us and welcoming.....it was such a breath of fresh air.....

Dr Feld still does newborn visits at St Mary's. He's great! If it wasn't so far, I would take my kids to him.
