hopefully words of wisdom for another shopper
I hate that you had a bad experience, I had posted this earlier and then saw yours. I just wanted to share a different view with you. Please do not take any offense because this is certainly not at all how I am meaning to send it to you. I just know that sometimes in life, even myself, we have to choose to look at things in a different light. We can either make our circumstances better or worse for ourself depending on how we choose to let them effect us. I am not sawing you were wrong at all. Maybe if you can look at your situation through these eyes... thank God you were able to shop and purchase items for your children! Thank God you have your precious children! Thank God you were waiting in line to buy them something and not in line waiting for hours for someone to hand you a bag of rice, a bar of soap, some oil (but only if you have a container to put it in,) and a handful of beans like I have witnessed on many occassions in Haiti where families are starving and "lucky" if they get to eat 1 meal every 3 days. That is heartbreaking for me but I never hear the haitian moms complain, I do hear them praise Jesus without ceasing. Thank God that you were able to get your precious little princess the stand in play in red blue and yellow! Instead of knowing that you have to always hold your child because you try to hold off as long as you can on letting their legs develop because you know as soon as they do they will want down and you have no floor only dirt and rock for them to crawl on. I will never forget the first mom in Haiti who flipped when I was holding her child up on my legs letting them stand up by holding their fingers, like we all do here. It took me by such surprise. But I was able to comprehend the reason behind her emotions when I realized what her home, a lean to, was like. Then and only then did it become clear to me.
I do understand your frustration, I do know what it is like when you just simply are ready to go on home, especially when your babies are unhappy. But I also know we can choose to praise God even in the midst of our trials, big or small.
If you do not already have a church home, I would love to invite you to mine. I attend WhiteStone, we meet at Brickey Elementary School on Emory Road. We have 2 services at 9:00 and 11:00. We also have Studio 252 at 11:15 which is a family church full of singing, skits, laughter and a bible story. My name is Jackie Rader, please ask for me when you come, I would love to meet you!
For all that read this... I would love to have you visit where I get to praise the Lord!!! Please introduce yourself if you are able to visit!!!
