Do you moonlight as anything else besides being a parent?
I am a co-owner of an online Stationery and Invitation company…DoodlePad.com
What do you love most about being a mom?
All the hugs, kisses and unconditional love I receive from my girls! I also love seeing the smile across their faces when they learn something new about this great big world we live in.
What’s your best trick or shortcut from your mommy bag of tricks?
I would say meal planning is my best trick. By planning out what we are going to have for dinner at the beginning of the week, I only have to make one trip to the store which creates more time for me to spend with my kids, while also ensuring that we will have family time at the dinner table while eating healthy foods!
What’s your favorite thing to do with your kids?
Play outside...whether it’s taking a walk, playing on the playground, drawing with sidewalk chalk or just playing in our driveway, we always manage to have a good time.
What do you do for ‘me’ time? Or what’s your favorite indulgence?
My “me” time consists of working out, having a girls’ night with great friends every once in awhile and participating in a women’s book study at church.
We all suffer from ‘mommy brain’ how do you cope?
I make a list for everything I do…grocery lists, errand lists, phone call lists…I’m surprised I don’t make a list of lists I need to make!
What’s your funniest/best Mommy Moment?
My best mommy moment would have to be when my now almost five year old daughter was three years old and came to visit her new baby sister at the hospital…she thanked me for having a baby for her and asked if we could take her home! How funny and cute. I was so happy to have two beautiful, healthy little girls and my 3 year old being excited about her new sister just put icing on the cake!
If you had more time (hours in the day) how would you spend it?
I would probably need to spend more time doing laundry, but I would want to spend more time just playing with my sweet girls with no disturbances or distractions.
Biggest Pet peeve:
Whining
