Hey Hot Mamas!
I'm excited to share a great new kiddie opportunity with you gals! Gourmet Cafe, my favorite local restaurant, is now hosting a Parents Day Out Kids Cooking Class for kids ages 6 to 12 years old. It will be held sometime in May on a Sunday (they're thinking maybe the 17th?) and the cost will be $30 for a 2 hour class. This sounded pricey initially, but when I talked to Jan, the teacher, I realized it's actually a good deal. She's keeping the class small (10 kids or less) and they'll be wearing little aprons and chef's hats and each kid will have his or her own measuring cups and spoons, etc. to use. They'll be "cooking" and bringing home kid-friendly recipes so the cost actually includes a lot. Plus that's 2 hours of free time for you parents!! Jan is the baker for Gourmet Cafe and she's really fun, laidback, and has great positive energy -- she's great with kids and ALL people!! She'll see how much interest their is for this type of class and go from there. I only wish she had something like this for younger kids -- Connor loves her!!

Hey All!
Thought I'd let you know that I might be slacking a bit on events for the next week. I am visiting my parents and Ruby is being good -- but clingy -- so I'm not able to get on here and update as much as I thought I would. However, once I am back home I will do a mass update so that we are good on the calendar for the next month-ish.

Wow! So many people have joined this week, so exciting. I am still working on the calendar. We are having a few kinks that the wonderful knoxmoms people are working out. If there's anything you want to see on the calendar, you can always e-mail it to me and I will try to get it up, or you can post it in the comments section of the site for us to see (and I'll still try to put it in the calendar). Glad to see everyone here!
