This group is for anyone interested in or who is currently a Babywearer.
We absorbed the KNOXVILLE BABYWEARING group into this one, which was the original babywearing group here on KnoxMoms.com! :-)
We would like to organize some informal BW gatherings, in addition to the monthly informational meeting that is every 4th Saturday, at Cedar Bluff Branch Library.
**~~Let us know WHERE/WHEN you'd like to have an informal/social gathering!!~~**

@HippieMommie - I just got a new ring sling this weekend! I love it but still having trouble with using it. Any tips?
I have a hard time adjusting the rails tight against baby. The bottom seems fine, but the top is loose.
Hi everyone! I have been babywearing for the last 5 years though I don't wear my 5 year old anymore
I have a gypsy Mama stretch wrap that I loved when my yougest was an infant, a pocket sling again used when he was an infant more, a custom made ring sling which is my workhorse through 2 babies, and my ugly ergo that we use more for hiking. I loaned my Mei Tai to someone and I forgot who. I miss my Mei Tai like crazy :( I am thinking of selling my gypsy mama and hotsling and investing in another Mei Tai since it seems that one won't be coming back <sniffle>
New to babywearing! So far I have a Moby-style wrap that I made, a Peanut Shell, and a Mei Hip. LOVE LOVE LOVE babywearing! I wish I was allowed to wear her at work all day with me ;)

Hey, i am JUST getting back into my computer groove. (I've been mostly mobile, and Knoxmoms doesn't play nicely with the iphone!) i chatted with a couple of the sweet ladies working the Knoxmoms booth at the Secret City Festival, in Oak Ridge.
Anyway, to answer your questions...
@bobbielea - Did you end up getting a BabyHawk mei tai, or something like it? I had a BH for a while and REALLY liked it. The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that the waist straps weren't padded. But other than that, I loved it! I have a homemade MT I could loan to you, if you wanted to try it out. :)
@kharris - Have you had your baby yet? If so, CONGRATULATIONS! Boy or Girl? If not, I wish you a wonderful, speedy, and most of all SAFE delivery!!!
@karladiane - Yeah, I had a Moby when Twilli was little. Loved it!! How old/big is your baby now? I have a wonderful German woven wrap that I'd love to let you try out. :-) The Moby wraps are good for the first few months. But after a while, you need something that doesn't stretch.

We'd LOVE to meet you guys this weekend, at the Knoxville Babywearing meeting, if you're available!
