Healthier Halloween Options

Healthy Tricky Treating doesn't have to mean that your little ghosts and goblins will be turning their noses up in disgust. Disdainfully pushing the unwanted 'treats' towards you. Enjoy healthier treats at lots of local fun and healthy trick or treating events this weekend! Just dress up the kids and go!

Earth Fare (2 to 5p.m.)
Our family loves this event because the activities are new and interesting. This year make your own Treat Bag! (Bring a T-shirt, pillow case, or other re-useable item to create a new treat bag!) Then embark on a Scavenger hunt/trick or treat in store.

Farmer's Market  (10a.m.-2p.m.)
Trick or Treat around the square and buy organic and healthy treats from the Market Square Farmer's Market vendors.

Safe Snacks at Barnes and Noble (10-11a.m.)
Enjoy special Halloween snacks with the kids.

VEFA Trunk or Treat for Food Allergic Kids! (1-3p.m.)
Before you go trick or treating this Halloween, take your little monsters, devils, angels and fairies to a party just for them! held in the parking lot at 9017 Cross Park Drive (click here for directions) There will be prizes for the best costumes and the best trunk decor so drop by for a ghoulish good time!

Volunteers Educating for Food Allergies (VEFA) is a parent based advocacy group dedicated to raising community awareness and helping families with food allergies cope with the diagnosis by sharing friendship, experience and education.

Have fun! And be safe!
